- Expand public transportation routes and levels of service
- Expand para-transit for the disabled throughout the region
Chincoteague
- A trolley service to transport people to and from motels, campgrounds, retail shops, eating places and the downtown area to alleviate traffic congestion
- Reconstruct the existing roadway between Ocean Boulevard and Fir Landing. This project will improve road services, straighten alignment and add curb, gutter, sidewalks, bikeways and lighting.
Emporia
- Widen Halifax Street between Knox Street and North Main Street to urban two-lane standards including sidewalks
- Improve the grade of Southampton Street at the crossing of the CSX railway
