- Expand public transportation routes and levels of service

- Expand para-transit for the disabled throughout the region

Alta Vista
- Widen Pittsylvania Avenue from Main Street to South Corporate Limits to accommodate for expected traffic volumes in excess of 10,000 vehicles per day

- Replace Main Street Bridge over Roanoke (Staunton) River, which is more than 70 years old


Farmville
- Add left-hand lanes for both the northbound and southbound traffic on Main Street at Milnwood Road. This project is recommended due to accident history and in the interest of safety.

- Reconstruct the Third Street bridge at Buffalo Creek to include four-lane travel, full shoulders and sidewalks
