“I have been a resident since 1960. There has been tremendous change and with the economic development we’ve experienced, roads will be our Achilles heels that ultimately will cook the golden goose.
“We must make a change in our transportation system in Virginia and particularly northern Virginia.
“I have been active in the community for 20 years and have taken on many statewide activities. The political aspect of getting transportation funded is something more business people have to take up as a priority, and I’m just trying to do my part to make a difference.”
Michael is a co-chairman of Virginians for Better Transportation’s executive council, as well as the Transportation Committee Greater Washington Board of Trade and is a former board member of the Northern Virginian Transportation Alliance. He helped fund the sales tax referendum for Virginia.
Michael is married and has two children.
