WHO WE ARE
Virginians for Better Transportation (VBT) is a diverse and expanding advocacy group working to implement statewide, multi-modal transportation solutions through increased, dedicated and sustainable funding and responsible business practices. VBT is conducting a public awareness campaign to educate Virginians about the Commonwealth's transportation funding challenges and the essential role transportation plays in the quality of life of all citizens. It's time for a comprehensive, long-term solution.

Bob is a member of the board of directors of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and in 2004, he served as chairman of the board. Before being named president of Blue Ridge Beverage Company, Inc. in 2001, Bob was the general manager and vice president of the company. Bob is a veteran of the U.S. Army and currently is involved with a number of civic organizations.

Blue Ridge Beverage Company is one of the largest wholesale beverage distributors in Virginia. Headquartered in Salem, Blue Ridge distributes a wide variety of malt beverages, fine wine and soft drinks throughout a 36-county region from four warehouse facilities located in Salem, Waynesboro, South Boston and Lynchburg.

He and his wife, Sandra, have three daughters, Michelle A. Sykes, Lori A. Raible and Jill A. Perez.
