“We have lived in Northern Virginia, Southside and the Peninsula of Hampton Roads for a total of 29 years and have watched our transportation needs continue to grow and grow with no solution in sight. I firmly believe that unless Virginia develops a viable, long-term, multi-modal transportation system, the opportunities to improve the economic well-being of our regions and provide the quality of life our citizens deserve will pass us by. What kind of a legacy will we leave our children if we continue to ignore the crisis we face in transportation?”
Sheila is a former chairwoman of the Hampton Roads Planning Commission, Virginia Association of Counties Transportation Committee and the York County Board of Supervisors. She is currently serving her 10th year on the Board of Supervisors.
